Your data
Last updated 19 October 2026
What you add to How Many? is yours. This is what that means in practice; the privacy policy has the full detail.
Yours, and only yours
Other sellers never see your stock, sales or photos. Each account sees only its own.
We never sell your data, use it for marketing or show you ads. There are no analytics or tracking cookies.
To run the service we see how much each account stores: counts of items, sales and photos. We don’t look at your items or photos themselves.
Take it with you, any time
- More → Export all data: your items, lots and sales as spreadsheets, plus everything as one JSON file. Photos come as links.
- Reports → Download financial history: every sale, refund, purchase and expense for any run of months, with your receipts.
Both are free and always there, so you’re never locked in.
Where it’s kept
- Your stock and sales: a database in Frankfurt, Germany (Neon).
- Your photos: storage in Frankfurt (Vercel), at addresses that are hard to guess.
- Your sign-in: Clerk, in the United States, protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
It’s encrypted on the way and where it’s stored.
On your phone
Your browser keeps a few things on your device to make the app work: your light or dark theme, the last Stock view and label format you used, and any item you add with no signal, photos included, until it uploads. Once it’s up, it’s removed from the phone.
Deleting it
Delete it yourself any time: your picture (on More on a phone, at the foot of the sidebar on a computer), then Manage account → Security → Delete account. Your account, stock, sales and photos are deleted straight away, and they leave our backups as they expire, within 30 days. Export it first if you want a copy.
Or email contact@checkhowmany.com from the address you sign in with, and we’ll delete it within 30 days.
This page sums it up. The full version, and the one that applies, is the Privacy policy.
